In photography, a reflector is a portable, lightweight round surface which we generally place under the face of the model to redirect the light of the flash in order to achieve a broader light source, or control shadows and highlights. We often use the proper board reflectors, but we might also have to improvise with what we find at hand, as those things tend to get lost in the chaos of the backstage or we sometimes forget them in a corner until we run to the next fashion show and it’s too late to go and recover them. Here is doll-face model Lindsey Wixson playing with one of them at Sonia Rykiel, she’s lovely and friendly, so when we work with her backstage it’s always fun. She appears on Vogue Italia this month in an editorial with a huge doll so I include some of those pictures taken from the net, Lindsey’s resemblance to a doll is amazing!!!
